From WEEBF: Reimbursement for Out Of Network COVID Test Kits

News from WEEBF about reimbursement for buying test kits for COVID at an *Out Of Network* Pharmacy or Store:

Members MUST complete a reimbursement form if they purchased an OTC COVID-19 Test Kit at an Out of Network Pharmacy or Store on or after January 15, 2022, maximum reimbursement is $12 per kit, minimum of 8 kits per person per month.

The OTC COVID test kits are NOT reimbursable under the Health and Welfare Plan if used for any employment purpose. Example, if not vaccinated and the Employer requires a weekly COVID Test then these test kits cannot be reimbursed, or if an Employer requires an Employee to present a negative COVID Test result before they can return to work, then those test kits are not covered either. Reimbursement for those denied test kits can still be reimbursed out of the Members flexible Reimbursement Account.

Effective January 15, 2022, the Member should use their Sav-Rx ID Card and purchase the OTC COVID-19 Test Kits through an In-Network Pharmacy limit is still 8 test kits per person per month but currently in negotiations to try and regulate the cost of the test kits.
